SLU Rankings and Honors
Saint Louis University is ranked among the top five Jesuit universities in the country and is considered one of the nation's best values in higher education. The University has been lauded as a character-building college, noted for its service efforts. Below are some highlights of Saint Louis University's most recent rankings and awards.
|2013 U.S. News & World Report "America's Best Colleges"
SLU ranked 92nd out of nearly 281 national universities in the United States. U.S. News also gave high marks to the undergraduate programs in entrepreneurship (No. 13) and international business (No. 18). Additionally, SLU made the "A+ Schools for B+ Students" and "High School Counselor's Picks" lists.

SLU's health law program was named No. 1 in the nation by health law scholars for the ninth consecutive year. SLU also ranked in the top 25 schools nationally for programs in geriatrics (No. 13), entrepreneurship (No. 17), international business (No. 20) and supply chain management (No. 21).
|2013 Princeton Review "Best 377 Colleges"
SLU was named one of the top schools in the country for undergraduate education. The Princeton Review surveyed SLU students, who praised the University's academic programs, values-based curriculum and close-knit and active campus where they feel they belong.

Listings are based on the quality of academic offerings and student responses about topics ranging from perception of the institution's mission to the demographics of the student body.
|2012 Forbes "America's Top Colleges"
SLU is listed in Forbes magazine's annual ranking of "America's Top Colleges." The magazine's list of more than 650 undergraduate institutions is based on the quality of the education and student experiences and achievements.

The award is the highest federal recognition a school can achieve for its commitment to service-learning and civic engagement.
|Barron's Best Buys in College Education - 11th edition
SLU was named one of approximately 220 U.S. colleges and universities that provide "a first-class education at affordable prices." In the publication, Barron's calls SLU an "urban research university that refuses to act like one, caring for each individual as a total person and drawing its undergraduates into the life of the surrounding community."

SLU ranked No. 76 on Kiplinger's list of the 100 top values in American private universities. Nearly 600 private institutions were considered for the list. Rankings considered cost and financial aid, student indebtedness, competitiveness, graduation rates and academic support.

The John Templeton Foundation named SLU one of 325 colleges and universities nationwide that promotes character growth and development among the student body.
|Washington Monthly "2011 College Rankings"
SLU ranked No. 4 on Washington Monthly'slist of universities that participate in the most community service. Overall, the University was listed 145th out of 281 colleges making a "contribution to the public good."
|2011 National Survey of Student Engagement
According to a 2011 survey of 362,000 first-year students and seniors attending 673 four-year colleges and universities, SLU students reported feeling more engaged than their counterparts at other major research institutions around the country, especially in the areas of community service and collaboration with other students.
|2012 G.I. Jobs "Military Friendly Schools"
The list honors the top 15 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools that are doing the most to embrace America's veterans as students. Criteria for making the Military Friendly Schools list included efforts to recruit and retain military and veteran students, results in recruiting military and veteran students and academic accreditations.
| 2012 Soliant Health Top 10 Physical Therapy Schools
Considering job placement rates, student reviews and admissions, among other factors, Soliant Health, one of the largest health care staffing companies in the country, named SLU's physical therapy program fifth in the nation. Among the strongest factors: high faculty-to-student ratio and a robust freshman retention rate.

Top philosophers around the globe rated SLU's graduate philosophy programs among the best in the English-speaking world in the latest edition of the report.

SLU is one of only seven Catholic universities classified as RU/H: Research Universities (high research activity).
|2012 STARS Bronze Rating for Sustainability
Saint Louis University earned national recognition for its efforts to create a green campus and university system, receiving a bronze rating from the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment and Rating System (STARS). STARS gave SLU high marks for its sustainability policies in human resources, diversity and affordability, dining services, water management, public engagement and innovation.
|2012 St. Louis Magazine "Best Doctors" Spanning more than three dozen specialties, 153 doctors from SLUCare were selected for St. Louis Magazine's 2012 "Best Doctors" list. The list is based on the annual "Best Doctors in America" database, which considers more than one million peer evaluations to create a directory of approximately 30,000 doctors.|
