Fraternity life offers leadership experiences, participation in service to the community and a network of contacts and mentors. Whether you are looking for involvement in an intramural team, a cheering section at Billiken athletic events, a study group at Pius Library, a service trip with Habitat for Humanity or a group to relax with on a Saturday night, you can find it in a fraternity.
Saint Louis University is the proud home of seven fraternities, which have the support of alumni in St. Louis and around the country. Our oldest chapter has been chartered at SLU since 1927, giving our fraternal community a long standing history on campus. Each fraternity brings something unique to the community. We welcome you to come and explore where you fit best.
Fraternity Council fraternities at SLU host recruitment activities during both the fall and spring semesters. The Fraternity Council hosts informational sessions and all-fraternity events to give you the opportunity to ask questions and mingle with the different chapters.
Each FC fraternity also hosts its own week of recruitment events. You can attend events
for one or more chapters throughout the week. There is no guarantee that if you choose
to participate in recruitment that you will receive a bid from a chapter, but it is
important to keep an open mind throughout the process. Even as the informal recruitment
process closes, it is still possible to receive a bid from a chapter, because FC fraternities
are able to recruit all semester.
The next fraternity council recruitment will take place in September 2019. The cost is $10 to register. Please note that your name, email and legacy status will be shared with the chapters.

Fraternity Council Executive Board
The Fraternity Council serves as the governing body for SLU’s fraternities. It is made up of six executive officers and delegates from each of the chapters. All fraternities in good standing are allowed one vote.
FC is responsible for both fall and spring recruitment. It also promotes opportunities for philanthropy and community service, leadership development, accountability and various other programming for the fraternities on campus. The FC works to promote a sense of community not only among the member fraternities, but the entire Greek system at SLU.
